Portfolio

This portfolio contains a lot of my previous work done at Texas State and will continue to grow as I strive to complete my degree. Thank you for taking a look!

My passion in web development started in middle school whenever I was messing around on Code Academy and eventually on my own text editor. I found my love for it at my FDOM class when our professor had reintroduced me to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was also my first introduction into WordPress and Figma, which I continue to build my knowledge on.

Final WordPress Project for Web Design

I was tasked to create a website for a business/idea and I chose to create one for a local Asian fusion restaruant, One To Fi because of my recent lovely relationship with the owners. Tommy and Fiona are wonderful people and I’ve done a lot of my Web Design assignments with them.

Multimedia Reporting Project for Web Design

My first ever multimedia reporting project. I had the wonderful opportunity to reporting on the opening of One To Fi and how the owners were able to pull through the transition of the previous establishment, Taiwan Bowl, while also recovering from a horrid car crash before the start of the Fall semester in 2025.

First Portfolio

For my Web Design class in 2025, I had to make a portfolio using just bare HTML and CSS, which acted as the bones for this portfolio.

First Personal Website

For a web design assignment, I had to make a personal website about myself and my interests. I got to test out my HTML and CSS skills while creatively expressing myself. I love music and I’ve got a couple of albums in there that I’ve listened to a lot as of recently.

Texas Legacy Sports Network (TLSN)

In Bobcat Promotions, I was on the web design team and my first assignment was to help transfer the TLSN’s obituary page from the old website to WordPress, which required a careful attention to detail as well as efficient communication with my team members.

In my Social Media class, I was able to create social media posts for the Texas State Alumni Association and create analytics reports on their Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, which required basic skill in Microsoft Excel, Canva and an amazing amount of teamwork.

I took a Data Journalism class that helped me hone my skill in data gathering in the context of journalism. I was able to learn how to use Tableau Public, Datawrapper and Canva to create data visualizations. i also used a little bit of HTML to scrape data.

Data Journalism Final

I did my final on crime in on-campus living at Texas State University. It required me to scrape data from the official TXST website as well as organize and analyze the data in Tableau. I then created the data visualizations of the statistics in Datawrapper. Finally, I put these visualizations on Canva to create a social media carousel including a lead, nutgraph, data viz explainer and a quote.
